About Us

Tight Five is about those niche rugby references and obscure designs. Those who don't take life too seriously are our kind of people. Fun & light hearted, occasionally niche, the designs are inspired by teams, players and culture which allow you to show your allegiances.

Born out of a frustration of seeing other sports getting great looking and fun designs, but realising there was nothing for rugby. Wanting to subtly nod towards the love of rugby, but not ramming it down peoples throat and automatically being stereotyped for our support of a sport, that at sometimes, can attract a less than ideal crowd.

Truth be told, we are a small setup. A one-man band. Embroidering your caps, making the designs, running the website and answering emails. It's all me. And I love it, but occasionally, there is a slip up or two. And I can only apologise for when that does occur, but any feedback is greatly received and like most things, a simple conversation over email solves 99% of issues. So, please do get in touch!

Tight Five is currently in a slight state of flux (Written in early 2026). When first founded, I worked with partners and suppliers, who helped make this business become a reality, and fulfilled your orders on my behalf. It was great for the early days of this setup, allowed me to work on the designs & business operations, but to be honest, it left me slightly unfulfilled in what i was doing, as i never saw the products that got sent out to you, the customers.

So in late 2025, i took a plunge, and invested on my own fancy-ass embroidery machine. This now gives me the freedom and opportunity to do so much more with Tight Five moving forward, as well as helping eradicate a few delivery & quality issues that occurred at the tail end of last year. Our printed tees & sweatshirts are still currently (watch this space) fulfilled by our suppliers, however, throughout the first few months of 2026, we will be moving full embroidery production over to in-house, giving you a higher quality product.

Sourcing

The products we make are made-to-order. I won't want to commit to large print runs that ultimately end up in sale or destroyed. Not only is this a pain for us, it's an environmental nightmare, one we want to avoid.

I source premium quality blanks for tees, sweatshirts & caps that are then embroidered by myself, in Bristol, or as previously stated, fulfilled for printing by one of my suppliers. I aim to be as sustainable as I can be, minimising waste, opting for environmentally friendlier activities whenever possible.
